Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane Police arrested 45-year-old Justin McDowell on November 7th for committing two armed robberies within the city. The first incident occurred at a marijuana retail store on November 2nd, where an unknown male robbed the establishment while brandishing a shotgun and wearing a Halloween mask. Just days later, a similar robbery took place at a gaming store, also involving a shotgun and a Halloween mask, confirming a pattern in the crimes. Investigators collected video evidence and, with assistance from the Spokane and Kalispel Tribes, identified McDowell as the suspect. Officers apprehended him in the 2900 block of East Broad, seizing evidence of the crimes at the scene.

McDowell faces two counts of 1st Degree Robbery and is currently held at Spokane County Jail with a bond set at $50,000. The Spokane Police continue to emphasize the importance of community cooperation in solving such crimes. This case highlights ongoing concerns regarding public safety in local retail environments.
