Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies
Spokane Police arrested 45-year-old Justin McDowell on November 7 for two armed robberies in the city. The first incident occurred on November 2 at a marijuana retail store on South Lewis Street, where an assailant in a Halloween mask used a shotgun to steal cash. Investigators identified McDowell after analyzing video evidence and conducting witness interviews, aided by law enforcement partners from the Spokane and Kalispel Tribes. Just hours before his arrest, a second robbery occurred at a gaming store, again involving a shotgun and a similar mask. Officers located McDowell in the 2900 block of East Broad and seized evidence related to both crimes.
He was subsequently booked into Spokane County Jail, charged with two counts of 1st Degree Robbery. His bond is set at $50,000, reflecting the severity of his actions. These incidents underscore ongoing concerns regarding violent crime in the Spokane area.
