City Details Veterans Day Schedule

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane will not require payment for on-street parking meters and kiosks on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, while all parking regulations, including time limits, will still apply. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste services will proceed on their normal schedule, ensuring residents can dispose of waste without interruption. Both the Waste to Energy Facility and the Development Services Center will be open to accommodate public needs. Spokane 311 will also offer customer service through in-person visits, phone calls, or online inquiries, available 24 hours a day.

Riverfront Park will honor military members by providing complimentary Looff Carrousel rides for them and their families. In contrast, Spokane Public Library branches will be closed, as will the Spokane Municipal Court and Community Justice Services. This Veterans Day schedule reflects the city's commitment to honoring veterans while maintaining essential services for residents. The free parking initiative aims to encourage participation in local events and activities honoring those who served.
