Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane Police arrested Justin McDowell, 45, for two armed robberies that occurred just days apart. The first robbery took place on November 2, 2025, at a marijuana retail store, where an unknown male, armed with a shotgun, stole cash. On November 7, another armed robbery occurred at a gaming store, showcasing similar characteristics, including a Halloween mask and weapon. Investigators utilized video evidence and collaborated with law enforcement partners from the Spokane and Kalispel Tribes to identify McDowell as the suspect. Upon locating him later that day, police seized evidence related to the robberies.

McDowell now faces two counts of 1st Degree Robbery and is held on a $50,000 bond. These incidents raise concerns about safety in local businesses and the effectiveness of crime prevention measures. The Spokane community is urged to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
