Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane Police arrested Justin McDowell, 45, for two armed robberies that occurred within a week in Spokane. The initial robbery happened on November 2 at a marijuana retail store, where McDowell, wielding a shotgun and wearing a Halloween mask, stole cash from the register. Investigators gathered video evidence and conducted interviews, leading them to identify McDowell as the suspect. Just five days later, he committed a second robbery at a gaming store, employing similar methods. Officers apprehended McDowell on November 7 and seized evidence connected to the crimes.

He faces two counts of 1st Degree Robbery and is being held on a $50,000 bond. The Spokane Police continue to investigate the case, emphasizing the importance of community safety. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about crime in the area, prompting a response from law enforcement.
