Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane Police arrested 45-year-old Justin McDowell on November 7 for his involvement in two armed robberies, one at a marijuana retail store and another at a gaming store. The first robbery occurred on November 2, 2025, when McDowell allegedly threatened staff with a shotgun while wearing a Halloween mask. Investigators used video evidence and witness interviews to identify him as a suspect. Just days later, on November 7, another robbery occurred at a gaming store, employing similar tactics. After locating McDowell later that day, police seized evidence from his residence.

He faces two counts of 1st Degree Robbery and is being held on a $50,000 bond. The incidents have raised concerns about public safety in Spokane. Local law enforcement continues to investigate potential connections to other crimes in the area.
