Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane Police arrested 45-year-old Justin McDowell for two armed robberies occurring on November 2 and November 7, 2025. The first robbery targeted a marijuana retail store, where an employee reported a masked man armed with a shotgun stealing cash from the register. Video evidence and witness interviews led investigators to identify McDowell as a suspect. The second robbery, which also involved a shotgun and a Halloween mask, occurred at a gaming store, further linking McDowell to the crimes. Officers located him later on November 7, seizing evidence during his arrest in the 2900 block of East Broad.

McDowell was booked into Spokane County Jail, facing two counts of 1st Degree Robbery, and is currently held on a $50,000 bond. The rapid succession of these incidents raises concerns about public safety in the area. Law enforcement continues to work closely with community partners to address rising crime rates.
