Spokane, WALocal News

Florida law enforcement arrested Tyrone L. Cliff, 38, on October 28, 2025, for felony possession of child sexual abuse materials. The investigation started in August when the Spokane Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit received a CyberTip regarding Cliff's online activities. Detectives identified him and prepared search warrants, discovering he had moved to Florida before they could act. Cliff was teaching at a middle school in Hillsborough County at the time of his arrest.

The Spokane Police Department worked with the Tampa Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to ensure a swift apprehension. Cliff faces multiple felony charges and is awaiting extradition back to Washington State. The collaboration between law enforcement agencies highlights the seriousness with which authorities treat child exploitation crimes. This case underscores the ongoing efforts to combat child sexual abuse and protect vulnerable populations.
