Tyrone L. Cliff, 38, faces multiple felony charges after his arrest in Florida on October 28, 2025, for possessing materials depicting child sexual abuse. The investigation commenced in August when the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit received a CyberTip about Cliff's online activities. Detectives confirmed his identity and were preparing to execute search warrants when they learned he had moved to Florida. Upon his arrest, it was found that Cliff was working as a middle school teacher in Hillsborough County, raising concerns about his employment background.

The Spokane Police Department, along with the Tampa Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, coordinated efforts that led to Cliff's quick apprehension. He is currently held at the Hillsborough County Jail pending extradition to Washington State. The case highlights the ongoing issues of child exploitation and the effectiveness of law enforcement collaboration across state lines. Authorities aim to address child safety and prevent further incidents of abuse.
