On October 28, 2025, law enforcement arrested Tyrone L. Cliff, 38, in Florida on multiple felony charges related to possessing material depicting child sexual abuse. Previously a teacher at a religious school in Spokane, Cliff was identified following a CyberTip received by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit in August. Detectives learned of his relocation to Florida while preparing to execute search warrants at his Spokane home. Cliff's arrest resulted from a joint effort by the Spokane Police Department, Tampa Police Department, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

He remains in custody at Hillsborough County Jail, pending extradition to Washington State. This case underscores the collaborative approach to tackling child exploitation crimes across state lines. The investigation reflects a commitment to protecting children and holding offenders accountable. As authorities continue to pursue such cases, they emphasize the importance of public awareness and reporting suspicious activities.
