Law enforcement arrested Tyrone L. Cliff, 38, on October 28, 2025, in Florida on felony charges related to possessing material depicting child sexual abuse. The investigation initiated in August when the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit received a CyberTip regarding Cliff's online activities. Detectives identified Cliff, a former Spokane resident, but discovered he had moved to Florida while they prepared search warrants. Upon his arrest, it was revealed that Cliff was working as a middle school teacher in Hillsborough County.

The Spokane Police Department collaborated with the Tampa Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to secure multiple felony warrants for Cliff. His quick apprehension highlights the effective cooperation between law enforcement agencies across state lines. Cliff is currently awaiting extradition back to Washington State, where he faces serious charges. The case underscores the ongoing efforts to combat child exploitation and hold offenders accountable.
