The Spokane Police Department has been awarded a $186,250 grant from the U. S. Department of Justice's Community Oriented Policing Services for mental health and wellness services. This funding, part of the Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act, aims to improve the well-being of officers and their families. The grant will support Struggle Well classes and training in nutrition, sleep, stress reduction, and mindfulness.
