Tyrone L. Cliff, 38, was arrested in Florida on October 28, 2025, on multiple felony charges for possessing material depicting child sexual abuse. The investigation commenced in August after the Internet Crimes Against Children unit received a CyberTip highlighting Cliff's viewing and downloading of illicit material. While detectives prepared to execute search warrants at his Spokane home, they discovered Cliff had moved to Florida. A coordinated effort involving the Spokane Police Department, Tampa Police Department, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement facilitated his rapid capture.

At the time of his arrest, Cliff was working as a middle school teacher in Hillsborough County, raising concerns about his access to children. He faces extradition to Washington State to face charges. This case underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat child exploitation. The collaboration between agencies illustrates a commitment to addressing child safety concerns across state lines.
