Spokane, WALocal News

Tyrone L. Cliff, a 38-year-old former teacher from Spokane, was arrested by Florida law enforcement on multiple felony charges for possessing child sexual abuse material. The investigation began in August when the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit received a CyberTip about his online activity. Detectives identified Cliff as the suspect and prepared to serve search warrants at his residence; however, they discovered he had moved to Florida. After his arrest, officials learned that he worked as a middle school teacher in Hillsborough County.

The Spokane Police Department collaborated with the Tampa Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, leading to Cliff's rapid apprehension. He is currently held at the Hillsborough County Jail, awaiting extradition back to Washington State. This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat child exploitation and ensure that offenders face justice. The investigation underscores the importance of interagency collaboration in addressing serious crimes against children.
