Flags Lowered for Four Washington-Based Fallen Soldiers
Mayor Lisa Brown ordered flags at all City facilities to half-staff to honor four soldiers who died in a helicopter crash. This directive follows Governor Bob Ferguson's order to lower state and U. S. flags at all state agency facilities. The fallen soldiers include Chief Warrant Officer Three Andrew Cully, Chief Warrant Officer Three Andrew Kraus, Sergeant Donavon Scott, and Sergeant Jadalyn Good, who were serving in the United States Army.
They were killed in the tragic incident on September 17, 2025. Mayor Brown encouraged residents to lower flags outside their homes and businesses as a sign of respect. Flags will remain at half-staff until sunset or the close of business. This act of remembrance reflects the community's commitment to honoring military service and sacrifice. Such gestures are vital in fostering a culture of respect and appreciation for those who serve.
