Gonzaga University and the Spokane Police Department partnered to host a weeklong training program on Dialogue Policing, which seeks to enhance law enforcement communication skills. Developed by the Columbus Police Department, the course is a 40-hour evidence-based program that includes perspectives from community activists and media representatives. Participants learn de-escalation techniques and crowd psychology, crucial for managing large-scale public gatherings.
