Spokane police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on October 17, 2025, at 7pm near Mission and Cincinnati. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and found a male victim with a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical assistance and transportation to a local hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit and Special Investigations Unit have initiated an investigation and are following up on several leads. Initial evidence indicates that the individuals involved were known to each other, suggesting the act was not random.
