Spokane police arrested Katie L. Sims, 34, after she vandalized 16 vehicles at an auto dealership, causing damages estimated at $100,000. The incident occurred just before midnight on September 19, when officers responded to a reported argument near the dealership. Witnesses indicated that Sims began throwing rocks at the parked vehicles during the dispute. Officers reviewed security footage, which provided a clear description of the suspect.

The following day, police located Sims near 1600 West Sprague, where she was wearing the same clothing as in the video. She was taken into custody and booked into the Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Malicious Mischief.
