Spokane police arrested Katie L. Sims, 34, on September 19 after she vandalized 16 vehicles at an auto dealership, causing significant damage. The incident began as an argument near the dealership, where Sims threw rocks at the parked cars. Initial damage estimates reach $100,000, with the possibility of increased costs pending further investigation. Officers reviewed surveillance footage, which provided a clear description of Sims, leading to her arrest the next day in downtown Spokane.

She was still wearing the same clothing seen in the video, confirming her identity. Sims now faces charges of 1st Degree Malicious Mischief, a serious offense under Washington state law. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about public safety and vandalism in the area. Police urge community members to report any suspicious activity to assist in preventing similar incidents.
