Female in Custody After an Auto Dealership Has 16 Vehicles Vandalized
Katie L. Sims, 34, was arrested on September 20 for vandalizing 16 vehicles at an auto dealership in Spokane, causing significant damage estimated at $100,000. The police responded to a report of an argument on September 19, where they learned that Sims had thrown rocks at the cars before fleeing the scene. Officers reviewed surveillance footage, which enabled them to identify the suspect. The following day, officers found Sims downtown, dressed identically to how she appeared in the video.
She was subsequently booked into the Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Malicious Mischief. This incident raises concerns about vandalism and public safety in local neighborhoods. The Spokane Police Department encourages residents to report any suspicious activities to maintain community safety. Local officials may implement preventive measures to deter similar occurrences in the future.
