Female in Custody After an Auto Dealership Has 16 Vehicles Vandalized

Spokane police arrested Katie L. Sims, 34, for vandalizing 16 vehicles at an auto dealership on September 19, resulting in damages estimated over $100,000. The disturbance started as an argument, leading Sims to throw rocks at the cars parked at the dealership. Officers responded to the scene and reviewed surveillance footage provided by security, which helped identify the suspect. The next day, police found Sims in downtown Spokane, still wearing the same clothes from the incident.

She faces charges for 1st Degree Malicious Mischief and is currently held at the Spokane County Jail. Local law enforcement continues to address rising vandalism incidents, emphasizing the importance of community vigilance. The dealership plans to assess the full extent of the damages, which could surpass initial estimates.
