Katie L. Sims, 34, was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Malicious Mischief after vandalizing 16 vehicles at a Spokane auto dealership, causing damages initially estimated at $100,000. The incident, which took place on September 19, began with a reported argument near the dealership. Officers arrived to find extensive damage to the vehicles and received surveillance video evidence from dealership security. The next day, officers spotted Sims downtown, wearing the same outfit as in the footage, leading to her arrest.
