Female in Custody After an Auto Dealership Has 16 Vehicles Vandalized
Spokane Police arrested Katie L. Sims, 34, for vandalizing 16 vehicles at an auto dealership on West 3rd Avenue, causing damages estimated at $100,000. The incident occurred shortly before midnight on September 19th, when officers responded to reports of an argument. Witnesses indicated that Sims threw rocks at the parked vehicles, leading to extensive damage. Security footage provided by the dealership helped officers identify her as the suspect.
The following day, officers located Sims in Downtown Spokane, wearing the same clothing as seen in the video, and took her into custody. She was booked into Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Malicious Mischief. The estimated repair costs for the damaged vehicles may increase beyond the initial $100,000 assessment. This incident highlights ongoing concerns about vandalism and public safety in the Spokane area.
