Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane police arrested Katie L. Sims, 34, after she vandalized 16 vehicles at an auto dealership on September 19, causing damages estimated to exceed $100,000. The situation escalated from an argument between Sims and another individual, leading to her throwing rocks at the parked cars. Officers were dispatched to the scene following a 911 call from dealership security, who had surveillance footage of the event. Upon reviewing the video, police identified Sims and apprehended her the next day in downtown Spokane, where she was still wearing the same clothes.

She was booked into the Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Malicious Mischief. This incident raises concerns about vandalism and public safety in Spokane, especially as the city prepares for upcoming community events. The dealership is currently assessing the full extent of the damage, which could result in significant repair costs.
