Temporary Full Closure of Pines Road for Construction

Spokane, WALocal News

Pines Road in Spokane Valley will close fully from 6 a. m. September 28 to 4 p. m. September 29 to facilitate construction for a grade separation project.

This project aims to enhance safety and efficiency by allowing vehicles to travel beneath the bridge at the intersection with Trent Avenue. Southbound drivers will be detoured to Mansfield Avenue, while northbound drivers will divert to University Road and Sullivan Road. Local access will be available between Mansfield Avenue and East Pinecroft Way to accommodate residents. The closure may be extended due to unforeseen circumstances, and adjustments could be made based on last-minute train schedule changes. Spokane Valley officials emphasize the importance of this construction for improving traffic flow and safety in the area.
