Construction Project Changes

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's construction projects will cause significant traffic disruptions. North Ash St. will reduce to one lane from Sept. 22-24, impacting drivers traveling southbound. Lane reductions will likely cause congestion on eastbound Northwest Blvd.

Rockwood Blvd. will close completely from Sept. 15-17 for essential water, sewer, and stormwater system upgrades. This section of Rockwood Blvd. is near Sacred Heart Medical Center, heightening the project's importance for local healthcare access.

Local access remains available, but pedestrians may face sidewalk detours. The city advises using alternative routes during peak hours to reduce congestion. These projects are crucial for improving urban infrastructure and are expected to be completed by mid-October.
