Construction Project Changes

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's construction projects will significantly disrupt local traffic patterns in September. Southbound lanes on North Ash Street will merge from three lanes to one from September 22-24, causing delays between Indiana and Maxwell Avenues. Concurrently, Rockwood Boulevard will close entirely from September 15-17 for essential water, sewer, and stormwater system upgrades. This closure affects traffic near Sacred Heart Medical Center, necessitating detours for pedestrians and limiting parking. Local access remains available, but motorists should plan for delays and consider alternative routes.

The city advises adjusting travel times to avoid peak hours from 7 a. m. to 7 p. m. Local businesses impacted by the construction are encouraged to be supported.

The projects are expected to conclude by mid-October, with ongoing updates available on the city's construction webpage.
