SPD investigators are actively seeking help from the public to identify suspects in a recent arson case that occurred on August 3, 2025. The fire took place in the 1600 block of East Mission Avenue and caused damage to several apple trees, a cherry tree, and lavender plants. The Spokane Fire Department responded to the incident shortly after it was reported. Subsequently, SPD learned of video footage that may show three juvenile suspects involved in the crime. The fire not only harmed local flora but also raised concerns about the safety of nearby residences.
