Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's Corbin Art Center will host the "Age of Elegance Reimagined" event from September 6 to 20, 2025, showcasing furnishings from local businesses. Admission is set at $10, with all proceeds aimed at restoring the historic D. C. Corbin House's front veranda. Guided tours, led by historian Cindy Blue-Blanton, will occur on select dates, enriching the educational experience for attendees.

If the Parks & Recreation levy passes in November, it will provide matching funds for ongoing maintenance and repair of the mansion, which also serves as an art center. The Corbin Art Center has been a community resource for over 50 years, promoting fine arts and crafts. D. C. Corbin, a significant figure in the railroad and mining industries, originally gifted the land for Corbin Park to the city.

The center's mission is to foster cognitive and creative growth through affordable art programs. Donations for preservation efforts can be made through the Spokane Parks Foundation's website.
