Spokane's N. Ash St. will experience significant traffic slowdowns from Sept. 22 to Sept. 24 as work on the Maxwell Avenue Bike and Pedestrian Safety Upgrades project resumes.

Southbound lanes will merge from three to one, causing potential delays on Northwest Blvd. and Ash St. Rockwood Blvd. will close entirely from Sept. 15 to Sept.

17 for necessary upgrades to water, sewer, and stormwater systems. This construction impacts an area near Sacred Heart Medical Center, with plans for intersection redesign and pavement rehabilitation. Pedestrian access may be rerouted, but local access will remain available throughout the construction period. Residents are advised to use alternative routes and adjust their travel times to avoid peak congestion from 7 a. m.
