Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's Corbin Art Center will host the "Age of Elegance Reimagined" event from September 6-20, 2025, showcasing local furnishings and historical tours. Admission is set at $10, with proceeds dedicated to the preservation of the D. C. Corbin House, specifically funding the restoration of the front veranda. If the Parks & Recreation levy passes in November, it will allocate additional funds for the mansion's maintenance and ongoing art programs.

Guided tours, led by interior designer and historian Cindy Blue-Blanton, will occur on select dates, providing insights into the historic property. For over 50 years, the Corbin Art Center has offered affordable arts and crafts programs, enriching the community's cultural landscape. D. C. Corbin, a railroad and mining magnate, originally gifted the land for Corbin Park to the city, linking local history to the present.

The center emphasizes small class sizes to enhance participant engagement and learning. Donations for preservation can be made through the Spokane Parks Foundation via a dedicated link.
