Spokane, WALocal News

The "Age of Elegance Reimagined" event at Spokane's Corbin Art Center will run from September 6 to 20, highlighting local furniture businesses such as The Tin Roof and Burbank Interiors. Admission costs $10, funding the preservation of the historic D. C. Corbin House, which has functioned as an art center for over five decades. Guided tours led by interior designer Cindy Blue-Blanton will offer visitors a glimpse into the mansion's history, with specific tour dates scheduled.

A Parks & Recreation levy set for November aims to secure additional maintenance funds for the mansion’s upkeep. The D. C. Corbin House, designed by renowned architect Kirtland K. Cutter, is a significant cultural landmark in Spokane.

Corbin, a railroad and mining magnate, originally gifted the land for Corbin Park to the city. The art center offers fine arts programs that facilitate personal and creative growth for all ages. Donations for ongoing preservation efforts can be made through the Spokane Parks Foundation's website.
