Construction Project Changes

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's construction projects will significantly disrupt traffic flow on North Ash Street and Rockwood Boulevard. Southbound Ash Street will merge to one lane from September 22-24, causing considerable slowdowns for drivers. Rockwood Boulevard will close completely to all traffic from September 15-17 for essential water, sewer, and stormwater system work. This area, located near Sacred Heart Medical Center, will also see intersection redesign and pavement rehabilitation. Local access will be maintained, but pedestrians should expect sidewalk detours.

Officials advise drivers to use alternative routes during peak traffic hours and consider adjusting their travel times. The Rockwood Boulevard project is expected to conclude by mid-October. Authorities encourage the public to support local businesses impacted by construction.
