Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's November Parks levy could secure funding for the preservation of the historic D. C. Corbin House, now the Corbin Art Center, which has been a community asset for over 50 years. The upcoming "Age of Elegance Reimagined" exhibition, scheduled from September 6-20, 2025, will showcase furnishings from local businesses and feature guided tours led by interior designer Cindy Blue-Blanton. Admission is $10, with all proceeds earmarked for the mansion's restoration, focusing on the front veranda.

If voters approve the levy, funds will also be allocated for ongoing maintenance of the art center, which offers classes aimed at fostering creativity among residents. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the event, allowing visitors to return multiple times. Discounted private group tours are available, promoting broader community participation. The D. C.

Corbin House, designed by architect Kirtland K. Cutter, symbolizes Spokane's rich history, as it was gifted to the city by Corbin himself. Donations for the mansion's preservation can be made through the Spokane Parks Foundation's website.
