Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's D. C. Corbin House will host the "Age of Elegance Reimagined" event from September 6 to 20, 2025, showcasing local furnishings and raising funds for the mansion's preservation. Admission costs $10, with all proceeds dedicated to restoration efforts, specifically focusing on the front veranda. Guided tours led by historian Cindy Blue-Blanton will take place on select dates, offering insights into the mansion's history and its transformation into an art center.

The Parks & Recreation levy, if approved in November, would provide additional funds for the mansion's maintenance and repair needs. Designed by architect Kirtland K. Cutter, the Corbin House has served as an art center for over 50 years, offering affordable fine arts programs for the community. Local businesses like The Tin Roof and Ennis Fine Furniture will feature their furnishings during the event. Discounted group tours are available for larger parties, enhancing accessibility to the event.

Interested donors can visit the Spokane Parks Foundation website to support preservation initiatives.
