Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane, WALocal News

The "Age of Elegance Reimagined" event at Spokane's Corbin Art Center will take place from September 6-20, featuring guided tours and furniture displays from local businesses. Admission is set at $10, with all proceeds dedicated to the preservation of the historic D. C. Corbin House, particularly its front veranda restoration. The Parks & Recreation levy, up for vote in November, could provide essential maintenance funds for the mansion, which has hosted art classes for over 50 years.

Guided tours will be offered on specific dates, led by interior designer Cindy Blue-Blanton. Group tours are available at a reduced price of $8 per person for groups of six or more. The D. C. Corbin House, designed by architect Kirtland K.

Cutter, was gifted to the City of Spokane in the 1940s and has remained a cultural hub. Donations for preservation efforts can be made through the Spokane Parks Foundation. The event highlights local craftsmanship while addressing the ongoing need for historic preservation in the community.
