Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane’s Corbin Art Center will host the "Age of Elegance Reimagined" event from September 6-20, 2025, to showcase local furnishings and raise funds for the historic D. C. Corbin House. Admission costs $10, with proceeds directed towards the restoration of the mansion, particularly the front veranda. Guided tours will be led by historian Cindy Blue-Blanton, offering insight into the home's history and design.

Additionally, the Parks & Recreation levy set for November aims to provide ongoing maintenance funding if approved by voters. The Corbin Art Center has served the community for over 50 years, focusing on affordable fine arts programs that encourage personal growth. D. C. Corbin, a prominent figure in the railroad and mining industries, originally built the house, which was later donated to the city.

Admission permits visitors to return anytime during the event, enhancing accessibility. Donations can be made through the Spokane Parks Foundation to support preservation efforts.
