Construction Project Changes

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's North Ash Street and Rockwood Boulevard will undergo construction, leading to significant traffic disruptions. Southbound Ash Street will reduce to one lane from September 22 to 24, causing slowdowns between W. Indiana Ave. and W. Maxwell Ave.

Meanwhile, Rockwood Boulevard will close entirely from September 15 to 17 for essential water, sewer, and stormwater system upgrades. This project, situated near Sacred Heart Medical Center, includes pavement rehabilitation and a redesign of the intersection with Cowley Street and 10th Avenue. Local access remains available, but pedestrians may encounter sidewalk detours. Drivers should consider using alternative routes during peak hours from 7 a. m.

to 7 p. m. The construction aims to enhance the city's infrastructure and safety. Residents are urged to support local businesses impacted by the necessary work.
