Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's Corbin Art Center will host the "Age of Elegance Reimagined" event from September 6 to 20, 2025, showcasing local furnishings to support the historic D. C. Corbin House's preservation. Admission is set at $10, with proceeds earmarked for restoration efforts, particularly for the front veranda. Guided tours led by interior designer and historian Cindy Blue-Blanton will offer insights into the mansion's history on select dates.

If the Parks & Recreation levy passes in November, it will secure ongoing maintenance funds for the art center, which has been operational in the Corbin House for over 50 years. The D. C. Corbin House, designed by architect Kirtland K. Cutter, was originally gifted to the city by Corbin, a railroad and mining magnate.

The art center provides affordable fine arts programs for all ages, fostering personal growth and creativity. Discounted group tours are available, encouraging community participation. Those wishing to support the preservation efforts can donate through the Spokane Parks Foundation.
