Construction Project Changes

Spokane, WALocal News

Rockwood Blvd. will close completely between Grand Blvd. and Cowley St. from Sept. 15-17 for essential upgrades to water, sewer, and stormwater systems.

This project aims to improve local infrastructure and includes rehabilitation of the pavement and redesign of the intersection at Cowley St. and 10th Ave. Meanwhile, from Sept. 22-24, southbound lanes on Ash St. will reduce from three lanes to one, significantly slowing traffic.

Drivers can expect congestion on Northwest Blvd. as well. Local access remains available, yet pedestrians may experience sidewalk detours during this period. Authorities recommend using alternative routes and adjusting travel times to avoid peak congestion hours. The construction is part of ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and infrastructure in the city.

The projects are expected to wrap up by mid-October, with ongoing updates available on the city's construction webpage.
