Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's upcoming November ballot includes a Parks & Recreation levy aimed at funding the preservation of the historic D. C. Corbin House, now operating as the Corbin Art Center. The "Age of Elegance Reimagined" event, from September 6 to 20, 2025, highlights local furnishings and offers guided tours for $10, with proceeds supporting restoration efforts. Notably, the mansion's front veranda is a focal point for current conservation activities.

Tours led by interior designer Cindy Blue-Blanton will take place on specific dates, enhancing the event's educational value. The Corbin Art Center has served the community for over 50 years, providing quality arts programs for all ages. The center's historical significance stems from its connection to D. C. Corbin, a railroad and mining magnate who donated land for Corbin Park.

If voters approve the levy, it will secure ongoing maintenance funds for the mansion, ensuring its role as a cultural hub. Donations for preservation can be made through the Spokane Parks Foundation.
