On September 2, 2025, SPD responded to a reported assault at an apartment on West Elliott Drive, resulting in the arrest of Sergio Orduno-Gallegos, 31. The victim left to seek medical treatment, revealing that a No Contact Order was in effect against Gallegos. Initial attempts by officers to contact him were unsuccessful, leading to the deployment of specialty units including SWAT and Hostage Negotiators due to concerns for two small children. After confirming the children were not in the apartment, negotiators established contact, and Gallegos surrendered peacefully at 12:30 p. m.

He now faces charges for a felony violation of the No Contact Order and two counts of 2nd Degree Assault - Domestic Violence.
