Brief Standoff in West Spokane Ends Peacefully After Domestic Violence Suspect Taken into Custody

Spokane police arrested Sergio Orduno-Gallegos after a standoff at an apartment on September 2, 2025, following an assault report. Officers learned that Gallegos violated a No Contact Order that prevented him from contacting the female victim, who left the scene seeking medical treatment. Concern for two small children allegedly with Gallegos prompted the response of specialty units, including SWAT and Hostage Negotiators. After initial communication attempts failed, negotiators established contact, leading to Gallegos surrendering peacefully around 12:30 p. m.

He was taken into custody for a felony violation of the No Contact Order and two counts of 2nd Degree Assault - Domestic Violence. The Spokane Police Department continues to address domestic violence incidents, emphasizing community safety.
