Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's Corbin Art Center will host "Age of Elegance Reimagined" from September 6-20, 2025, featuring local furnishings and guided tours to fund the preservation of the historic D. C. Corbin House. Admission is set at $10, with proceeds earmarked for the restoration of the front veranda. Visitors can join guided tours led by interior designer Cindy Blue-Blanton on select dates, enhancing their understanding of the mansion's history and design.

The upcoming Parks & Recreation levy, to be voted on in November, could secure additional maintenance funds for the mansion, which has served as an art center for over 50 years. The Corbin House, designed by Kirtland K. Cutter, was built for railroad and mining magnate D. C. Corbin, who significantly contributed to Spokane's development.

Discounted private group tours are available at $8 per person, fostering community engagement. Those interested in supporting the preservation efforts can donate through the Spokane Parks Foundation. The Corbin Art Center continues to provide affordable fine arts programs that promote personal and creative growth for children and adults alike.
