Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's Corbin Art Center will host "Age of Elegance Reimagined" from September 6 to 20, 2025, showcasing local furnishings while raising funds for the historic D. C. Corbin House's preservation. Admission costs $10, with proceeds supporting the restoration of the mansion's front veranda. If the Parks & Recreation levy passes in November, it will secure additional funds for ongoing maintenance and repairs of the art center.

Guided tours will be led by historian Cindy Blue-Blanton on select dates, enhancing the visitor experience. The D. C. Corbin House, designed by architect Kirtland K. Cutter, has served as an art center for over 50 years, promoting fine arts and crafts programs.

Corbin, a railroad and mining magnate, originally gifted the land for Corbin Park to the city. Those interested in supporting the preservation efforts can donate via the Spokane Parks Foundation. The event emphasizes the importance of maintaining local historical sites while engaging the community in the arts.
