Rockwood Blvd. Construction Near Hospital

Construction work on Rockwood Boulevard near Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center begins Tuesday, Sept. 2, and will last until mid-October. The project aims to rehabilitate the pavement, redesign the intersection of Rockwood Blvd. and Cowley St. , and conduct utility upgrades, including replacing outdated water main pipes and repairing a section of the sewer.

Rockwood Blvd. will be condensed with no on-street metered parking available on both 9th Ave. and Rockwood Blvd. between Grand Blvd. and Cowley St.

Sumner Ave. /10th Ave. will be closed for east/west traffic, while north/south traffic will open at the Sumner Ave. /10th Ave. intersection.

Local access will remain available, but pedestrians should expect sidewalk detours. Residents and visitors are encouraged to support businesses affected by the construction.
