Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane's D. C. Corbin House, now the Corbin Art Center, will host the "Age of Elegance Reimagined" event from September 6-20, 2025, featuring local furnishings and guided tours. Historian Cindy Blue-Blanton will lead tours on select dates, showcasing the mansion's historical significance and artistry. Admission is $10, with all proceeds directed toward the ongoing restoration of the historic D.

C. Corbin House, particularly the front veranda. If approved in November, the Parks & Recreation levy would allocate additional maintenance funding for the mansion, enhancing its role as an art center. The event allows visitors to purchase displayed furniture from local businesses, including The Tin Roof and Ennis Fine Furniture. Discounted group tours are available for parties of six or more.

The Corbin Art Center, a program of Spokane Parks & Recreation, has provided arts education for over 50 years, fostering growth and creativity in the community. Those interested in supporting the preservation efforts can donate through the Spokane Parks Foundation's website.
