Brief Standoff in West Spokane Ends Peacefully After Domestic Violence Suspect Taken into Custody

Spokane police arrested Sergio Orduno-Gallegos, 31, on September 2, 2025, following a standoff at his apartment on West Elliott Drive. Officers responded to a report of domestic violence after the female victim sought medical treatment, revealing a No Contact Order against Gallegos. Upon arrival, police found he was inside the apartment, initially unable to make contact with him. Due to concerns for two small children possibly present, multiple specialized units, including SWAT and Hostage Negotiators, were deployed to the scene. After establishing communication, Gallegos surrendered peacefully around 12:30 PM.

He faces charges for violating the No Contact Order and two counts of 2nd Degree Assault - Domestic Violence. The incident underscores the critical nature of enforcing protective orders in domestic violence cases.
