Brief Standoff in West Spokane Ends Peacefully After Domestic Violence Suspect Taken into Custody

On September 2, 2025, SPD responded to an assault report at an apartment on West Elliott Drive, where a No Contact Order was in effect against the male suspect, Sergio Orduno-Gallegos. Concerned for the safety of two small children possibly with him, SPD deployed multiple specialty units, including SWAT and Hostage Negotiators, to the scene. Initial attempts to contact Gallegos were unsuccessful, prompting a strategic response to ensure the children's safety. HNT ultimately established communication, resulting in Gallegos' peaceful surrender at 12:30 PM. He was arrested for a felony violation of the No Contact Order and two counts of 2nd Degree Assault - Domestic Violence.
