Spokane, WALocal News

Construction on Rockwood Boulevard will commence on September 2, leading to significant street closures and reduced parking options near Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. The project will rehabilitate the pavement through a grind and overlay and redesign the intersection of Rockwood Blvd. and Cowley St. Utility work will replace outdated water mains and repair sections of the sewer and brick catch basins. Traffic will be condensed, with Sumner Ave.

and 10th Ave. closed for east/west travel and 9th Ave. reduced to one lane in each direction for healthcare employee parking access. Sidewalk detours may affect pedestrian traffic, although local access will remain available.
